My Blue Heaven

"When whippoorwills call and evening is nigh
I hurry to my, my blue heaven" - Frank Sinatra

I don't know about whippoorwills,
but you would certainly find these things in my blue heaven.

Lovely glasses for my juice

Something sweet to eat

Vases for fresh flowers

Pretty shoes for my feet

A cool breeze on a hot day

A place to lay my head

Vintage shops and boutiques

One amazing bag

A little gift I would give to me
and one I'd give to my (furry) girls

Summertime at the beach.

And lots of books to read.

What would you find in your blue heaven?

Ladder Up! - Creative Upcycling Ideas

Okay, this first image is so amazing and beautiful to me that I reconfigured the widths of my blog so I could post an extra-large pic for you guys.

Fabulous, right?

I have found lots of great upcycled ladder ideas for you on Pinterest (duh), but the ladder / mason jar chandy is by far my very favorite <3

Ladder up, people!

A Little Pink Fix: (pink) Lemonade Love

 Pink lemonade.
So perfectly charming, versatile, sweet and southern
It looks great served in a mason jar at a backyard barbeque or in a champagne flute at a wedding reception.
Tastes great in sweet confections, too.

I've gathered some serving ideas and recipes from Pinterest (duh).
You'll find links to the recipes under the pics.

By the way, for those of you that follow...
Operation Time Management is still in the preparation stage.
I'm slowly getting there :)

Operation Time Management

Oh, I am so bad.
Naughty, naughty me!

It has been almost a month since my last blog post.

I went on a mini-vacation to visit some dear friends near Clearwater Beach, Florida and I have been off my game ever since. I've been getting stuck on one project or item on my agenda at a time and can't seem to shift my focus until that one thing is complete. In other words, I have lost my ability to multi-task.

I am so frustrated!

I was venting about this problem to my sweet friend and neighbor, Margaret, a few evenings ago. She suggested that I try time-blocking my tasks throughout the day. Great idea if I can make myself actually stick to it. I mean, I would be one skinny hot mama if I could just stick to a healthy diet and that obviously hasn't happened (damn you, butter), Although I did manage to avoid sweets throughout Lent so there is hope for me yet!

Since my current modus operandi obviously is not working to my advantage
I am hereby enacting Operation Time Management.

Operation Time Management will go into effect Tuesday
or maybe Wednesday
(did I mention my other problem, procrastination???).

Wish me luck!

In the meantime I thought I would share some fabulous ideas for organization boards from my perpetual source of inspiration
(aka Pinterest, duh!).

Huge framed chalkboard. Love this idea!

Dry erase board made by putting your favorite fabric under glass in a picture frame. Use dry erase markers on the glass. Easy peasy!

Chalkboard made from a bi-fold door with a pretty ruffled bottom <3

Burlap covered corkboard.

Old door chalkboard.
I know I've probably shared this image on here before, but it is AWESOME!

Much love,
