November Begins

November 1st and all is well here on the mountain. The autumn leaves are almost at their peak. I have a great view of the pasture and the ridge beyond outside my office window. The trees are so gorgeous right now!

We had a spectacular October and our 1st Annual Halloween on the Farm party was a big success with over 80 guests in attendance. However, I was so busy that I didn't get to take any pictures! I am just sick about that! Some friends and family took pictures, but mostly of other friends and family in costume (which were AWESOME by the way). Next year there will be pictures of the decorations I promise!

Pumpkin carved by my friend Sam. He did a rockin' job!

My hubby! He looked awesome driving the tractor for the hayride.

Papa Smurf Rob and Smurfette Mel

Sonny and Cher (Mom and Dad)

Mac "Mayhem" McCorminck and Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz (Teresa)

Elaine, Tommy and Sponge-Roger-Squarepants

The Coopers

Ozzy and Shaaaaaaronnnn!!!! (Bill and Kay)

Wicked Witch, Cowgirl and Cowboy and Crest Toothpaste (Sharon, Granny, PawPaw and Vonda)

I am excited about November. It is going to be a busy month, too. I am planning a huge yard sale on the 12th. My BFF since 8th grade has a birthday is on the 17th. Then there is dressing day at Granny's the day before Thanksgiving.(we make our cornbread dressing together and listen to music. Granny and Mom usually have a glass of wine while we cook. It is almost more fun than Thanksgiving!) Thanksgiving itself is a super busy day with lunch at Granny and PawPaw's and then dinner at our house with the Combs clan, my hubby's wonderful and wacky side of the family. Then Black Friday and decorating the Christmas tree at Mom and Dad's with the family usually on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. There is so much to look forward to this time of year!

Well, I am off to do paperwork (not fun, but I have procrastinated long enough).

Enjoy this beautiful November day!
